Technology in Education – Developing Relationships & Delivering Value

This report is for anyone involved with making technology decisions in Education and considers educators and EdTech suppliers’ perspective. Educators will discover how difficult it can be to develop and roll out successful EdTech products, and discusses how educators can help improve EdTech products. Technology suppliers will find out about some tried and tested business principles that successful technology companies and start ups have used and advocate. Start-ups and organisations that are looking to work with education will discover why this can be a great initial target market.

NB With the overnight success of Pokemon Go we have taken a look at the principles from this report and have explored them through Niantic: See The Technology Adoption Cycle section of the DigCit PLN report for more information

Inaugural NMC Horizon Report Europe > 2014 Schools Edition

As a result of this report we were asked if we would be interested to be on the advisory board for the inaugural New Media Consortium Horizon Europe report.

The report applies the process developed for the NMC Horizon Project, with a focus on identifying and describing emerging technologies likely to have an impact on teaching, learning, and creative inquiry in European schools.

Six key trends, six significant challenges, and six emerging technologies are identified across three adoption horizons over the next one to five years, giving European school leaders and practitioners a valuable guide for strategic technology planning. This report provides leaders with in-depth insight into how the trends and challenges are accelerating and impeding the adoption of educational technology.
